The Fortis Fellowship is a 3-year program that identifies the world’s most outstanding university students from humble backgrounds and prepares them for entry into the Fortis Society. Fortis Fellows participate in expedited cooptation process to enter the Fortis Society upon completion of the Fellowship.

Upon completion of the Fellowship, Fellows are invited to participate in an expedited cooptation process to become inducted into the Society.

Candidates during their induction into the Fortis Society, must commit to:

  • The Honor Pledge
  • Uphold the ideals and morals of the Society
  • Strive toward an increasingly higher level of influence
  • Reciprocal solidarity with all Members
  • Strengthen the Fortis Society
  • Create meaningful change

All applicants from humble backgrounds are screened based on their potential to become prominent global leaders in their fields and their history of proactively creating positive change.


Applicants must fit the following criteria:

  • ‚Äč22-years-old or younger
  • Currently enrolled in 2nd year of an undergraduate program in any subject
  • First from your family to attend university and/or low-income
  • Record of academic excellence in university
  • Proven leadership abilities through self-started initiatives, or leadership positions on campus or in your community
  • Resilience demonstrated by overcoming hardship
  • Record of altruistic initiatives
  • Competitive candidates also demonstrate: strong ethics, altruism, charisma, and global ambition


Successful candidates will be awarded will a three-year program that comprises of:

  • Professional mentors - develop one-on-one relationships with high-level professionals in their fields of interest to help them expand their networks.
  • Internship and Career Advising - receive customized internship and career advising routinely during the Fellowship
  • Leadership training – undergo a rigorous virtual leadership curriculum with emphases on developing their personal leadership styles.

It was created to promote collaboration and support among professionals around the world, with the ultimate goal of propelling its members toward increasingly higher levels of success, so that they magnify their positive impact on the world. 

The Fellowship provides leadership training in the U.S., top professional mentors, internship funding, one-on-one career advising, and access to a worldwide network of influential connections via the Fortis Society.
