The ACCEL Awards is an annual start-up contest organised by London Business School’s Africa Club in collaboration with Club Alumni and Corporate Partners including FTSE 100 companies, venture capital firms, entrepreneurship incubators and media companies.
The ACCEL Awards exists to showcase and support promising African entrepreneurs by giving them the opportunity to pitch at the Annual Africa Business Summit in London; one of the largest of its kind globally and the leading forum in Europe for shaping business perspective on Africa's future. This summit will give the ACCEL Awards finalists an unrivalled stage to engage with global business leaders and African professionals, plus a chance to win up to £10,000 in award prizes to help them scale their business.
You need to be an African entrepreneur (finalists will need to show proof of citizenship). The business needs to be Africa focused (or catered primarily to the African market) and we need a business proposal that has proof of concept.
Fully Sponsored Trip to London & £10,000 in Award Prizes for the Top 3 Start-ups. Mentorship and partnership with London Business School and ACCEL Award business partners. International exposure and networking opportunities at Africa Business Summit.
The Africa Club is a student-run club at London Business School. We exist to promote engagement on Africa within the school and with the broader community, either in London, Africa or globally. Our members are individuals who have either worked in Africa or have cultural or professional interests in the continent.
