The Top 100 Fastest Growing SMEs in Nigeria, is designed to recognize and celebrate the impact and achievements of 100 fastest growing small and medium scale companies across different segments in Nigeria.

Through diligent research, the awards present the most authentic list of top 100 businesses from different industries, with particular focus on the startups, and fast growing businesses. This edition of the Top 100 Fastest Growing SMEs Award is themed: Unlocking Nigeria’s SME Potential: The Path to Economic Growth.

To be included in the list of Nigeria’s top 100 fastest growing companies, a company has to meet certain criteria:


  • Revenue of at least N20 Million generated in 2015.
  • Revenue of at least N100Million generated in 2018.
  • The company is independent (the company is not a subsidiary or branch office of any kind).
  • The company is headquartered in Nigeria.
  • The revenue growth between 2015 and 2018 is primarily organic (i.e. “internally” stimulated from business activities).
  • If a company is listed on a stock exchange, its share price has not fallen 25% or more since 2015.
  • Company’s balance sheet (asset value) size must be at least N5 Million in 2015.
  • Company’s balance sheet (asset value) size must be at least N50 Million in 2018.
  • The Company must have a staff strength of at least 11 or more employees within the period (2015– 2018) under review.
  • Must be profitable within the review period
