As we all know, a physical event is just not possible this year. So we are moving to the safety of the virtual world for 2020, taking our conversations and interactions online in three days of roundtables, exhibition and Forum debates from October 20 to 22.
Join ICT ministers, regulators and tech experts from around the world to showcase innovation, share knowledge, strategies and policies, and explore the future of digital technologies at this critical time.
ITU Virtual Digital World 2020 offers great visibility, qualified leads and international reach. The virtual event can be accessed by anyone, anywhere over any platform, bringing the expertise and opportunities of our unique global tech community to more people than ever, more flexibly and more cost-effectively.
The platform may be virtual, but the benefits of taking part are all very real:
The International Telecommunications Union is the United Nations specialised agency for information and communication technologies – ICTs. Founded in 1865 to facilitate international connectivity in communications networks, we allocate global radio spectrum and satellite orbits, develop the technical standards that ensure networks and technologies seamlessly interconnect, and strive to improve access to ICTs to underserved communities worldwide. Every time you make a phone call via the mobile, access the Internet or send an email, you are benefiting from the work of ITU.
ITU is committed to connecting all the world's people – wherever they live and whatever their means. Through our work, we protect and support everyone's right to communicate.
The ITU Virtual Digital World began life as the ITU Telecom World and began in 1971. The event brings together public and private representatives to showcase innovative solutions, collaborate and engage in high-level dialogue on the major challenges facing the sector. In 2011, ITU Telecom World moved to become a global annual event in rotating geographic locations. Now in 2020 the exhibition evolves once again to become the ITU Virtual Digital World, a wholly online virtual experience allowing for the sharing of knowledge, strategies and policies on a global scale.
