The 2020 virtual Inclusive Africa conference brought together a speaker faculty of 38 global and local knowledgeable experts, from 11 different countries representing different sectors to feature panel discussions about accessibility.
The 2021 conference will have a focus on agenda discussions that will focus in promoting the advancement of digital accessibility and computer assistive technology in Africa, share regional and global best practices in implementing accessibility standards, creating new assistive technology innovations, establishing effective policies and programs, focus attention on the impact of digital accessibility on: employment, education, government services, financial services, and private Sector.
The event will also highlight and reward assistive technology innovators at the second annual Inclusive Africa Digital Accessibility Innovations Award Ceremony.
We envision a world where disability is not inability, a community where individuals with disabilities have access to the same educational, technological, and employment opportunities as the non-disabled. Our mission is to empower the blind and visually impaired students in Africa through assistive technology. inABLE also ardently advocates for the adoption of educational policy that truly supports the use of computer assistive technology in specials schools for the blind in Africa.
