Digital disruption is unlocking Africa’s economic potential, creating new opportunities and steering a silent revolution from over-dependency on natural resources towards a technology driven economy. With Africa’s demographic advantage, how can stakeholders capitalize on the new wave of digital innovation to transform the continent? Can Africa take the lead in the digital space? These and more far-reaching questions are at the core of the agenda for the 2017 annual IE Africa Day conference.

The annual Africa Day conference at IE Business School provides a platform to raise interest in the African continent and connect those enthusiastic about Africa to the various opportunities it offers. With five successful prior editions, the forum has become a catalyst for transformative ideas to propel political, economic and social development in the African region.

Hosted by the IE Africa Club, this year’s event, the sixth in the series is themed #DigitalAfrica: Transforming the Continent and will hold at their campus in Madrid, between 4pm-8pm on Thursday 25th May 2017. An array of distinguished speakers and Africans brightest minds from the private and public sector, including captains of industry, thought-leaders, diplomats, renowned academics, IE students and students from other business schools will converge to explore the digital ecosystem in Africa.
