Ejo Leaders are a group of Africans on a mission to identify, prepare and empower a massive pipeline of visionary young public leaders, to take up meaningful roles in public and social sectors and transform policy issues they care about. They are the newly established Pan-African organisation empowering a generation of young disruptive grassroots public leaders.

 

They are looking for a director of programs and delivery, responsible for the ultimate design, development, delivery, and impact of the end-to-end ecosystem in Rwanda which includes developing and managing learning design, professional development, thought leadership and impact and accountability teams to ensure effective design and delivery of leader journeys.

 

This role requires significant “outside the box” thinking to design a unique blended program which can transform community leaders to extraordinary public leaders. Program will be delivered virtually through EdTech, in person through conferences and through field work. Individual must have a strong interest in local policymaking structures, experiences implementing new approaches to learning comprising of fieldwork, and an ability to work with a wide range of multi-sectoral stakeholders systematically and effectively to build and deliver programs.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop program strategies to deliver ejo leaders’ mission in Rwanda alongside multi-stakeholder advisory committees
  • Design, develop and deliver high quality programs along with experts from various sectors
  • Build and manage a high performing program team to design and deliver programs and ensure strong quality control and continuous evaluation
  • Identify and maximise synergies across all organisation teams to ensure effective use of resources to deliver high quality programs
  • Responsible for ultimate impact and outcomes of programs, and supporting partnerships and executive teams to report learning and impact effectively to strategic partners

Criteria

Mission Critical Competencies

  • Proven experience and success with developing innovative, game-changing practice-based programs for impact and effectively reporting impact
  • Solid knowledge of contemporary educational and adult learning strategies through hybrid learning methods
  • Experience in leveraging behavioural science, design thinking and or human centred learning in design
  • Capacity to build and manage large teams and multiple stakeholders to deliver on complex multifaceted programs
  • 7+ years of relevant experience e.g., in program strategy and delivery, learning design, partnership development with track record of delivery excellence and increasing responsibility
  • Ideally experienced in delivering programs for diverse and remote audiences, considering low technology context and language diversity
  • Bachelor’s degree as a minimum - ideally in learning design for education

  • Highly strategic and resourceful and able to manage a large range of highly complex and diverse relationships to achieve a shared mission
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities, including timeliness, consistency, and proactive communication
  • High degree of autonomy, resilience, and problem-solving mindset – you look at problems with an analytical and iterative mindset with a strong ability to prioritize
