As Head of Product you will lead full cycles of product development, from ideation, planning and design, to building, measuring and iterating - all with the goal of transforming one of the oldest and most important “hidden” industries in the world -- supply chain logistics -- into a digitally integrated system that works for all stakeholders. With input from Jetstream’s users, you will be creating products for people who access technology primarily from feature phones and basic smartphones. You will also be working with one of the most tech-savvy, energetic and collaborative teams in emerging market logistics today. This position reports into the CEO.

Remote working is possible for this opportunity, although please note that you will be required to spend >25% of your time on the ground in Ghana and Nigeria.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of products that integrate and digitize cross-border logistics on the African continent
• Establish shared product vision across the company by building consensus on product priorities leading from ideation to execution
• Recruit, build and lead a team of world-class designers with a commitment to user-driven design and a passion for working on hard problems
• Integrate usability studies, research and analysis into requirements to boost user satisfaction
• Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
• Understand Jetstream’s strategic position and deliver products that are best in class
• Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
• Track and communicate key performance indicators, milestones and lessons learned

Qualifications

• 5+ years' entrepreneurial, analytical or strategic experience, e.g. as a founder, product manager or consultant
• Experience using data to solve business problems
• Communication and presentation experience
• Experience operating with users in low-income or emerging markets
• Unusual ability to multi-task and synthesize complex data into actionable information
• Ability to work and effectively communicate with diverse business partners
• Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Willingness to spend >25% of their time on the ground in Ghana and Nigeria
