IDinsight helps global leaders combat poverty by designing, deploying and promoting evidence-generating tools. IDinsight is on track to improve millions of lives by transforming the way the global social sector innovates, learns and improves, utilising the following approaches:


  • Embedded partnerships: Long-term, embedded engagements with multiple governments and donors to fuse evidence generation with policy action in the health, education, sanitation, nutrition and social protection sectors;
  • Decision-focused impact evaluation: Impact evaluations with multiple agribusinesses to improve smallholder farmer income and nutrition;
  • Outcomes-based financing: Advancing the pay-for-results frontier via Africa’s first development impact bond in Uganda and Kenya;
  • Mixed-methods support: For example, the team shaped an NGO’s education intervention in Uganda and Ghana by conducting semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and teacher surveys.


IDinsight are seeking analytical, dynamic, and passionate Project Managers to join their team in Morocco.


As the new Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of client engagements (with support from IDinsight's technical team, Directors and Partners) and drive each client's ability to achieve their social impact goals. Consequently, you will be expected to draw on your diverse range of skills and experience, which includes: establishing trusted advisor relationships with clients, mentoring high-performing early career professionals (Associates and Senior Associates), and developing expertise in a broad range of econometric, data, and field experiment tools. You will also be responsible for overseeing project and/or office-related safety & security risk management for your team. As the ideal candidate, you will be a dynamic leader who is passionate about making a difference, possesses exceptional analytical skills, and thrives in an entrepreneurial, developing country setting. IDinsight invests heavily in their employees professional development and expects them to think critically and creatively about how to maximise their clients’ social impact.

Role Responsibilities:


  • Client Liaison:
    Managers establish themselves as experts and trusted advisors to IDinsight clients. Managers use this position to provide high quality counsel and support based on rigorous evidence, for senior leaders in governments, foundations, NGOs, and socially impactful businesses.
  • Technical Skills:
    Managers harness and direct the intellectual horsepower fuelling IDinsight's project teams. Managers lead all elements of IDinsight's evaluation and advisory projects, including evaluation design, project management, oversight of analytical processes, engagement of internal and external experts, and construction of high-quality communication materials including policy briefs, technical reports and presentation materials. Managers need not be Stata wizards, but must be able to develop a deep and nuanced understanding of how econometric, data, and field experiment tools can be tailored to client needs.
  • Mentorship of Teams:
    Managers have the opportunity to professionally develop IDinsight Associates in order to help them achieve their long-term career goals. Associates have exceptional raw talent and are keen to learn from Managers in order to hone various skills.
  • IDinsight growth:
    Managers are encouraged to contribute to IDinsight's organisational development by helping to improve and refine the IDinsight approach, develop new client engagements, oversee country offices, lead internal initiatives and special projects such as open new IDinsight offices or launch new services.

  • 4-8 years relevant work experience, including managerial experience in a developing country, preferably in North or Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Advanced degree, preferably in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Political Sciences, Development, Public Policy, Public Administration, Business, or Public Health
  • Strong critical thinking and quantitative skills, with nuanced understanding of econometric data and field experiment tools, including but not limited to statistical software (Stata wizards welcome, but not mandatory)
  • Demonstrable interest in the use of evidence, rigorous impact measurement, and data to improve international development policies and programs
  • Demonstrable client management experience and skills
  • Fluency in French (mother tongue / C2) and good knowledge of English (B2 / C1) is mandatory
  • Knowledge of Arabic ia a plus
  • Deep passion to improve lives around the world
  • Prior rights to live and work in Morocco or Moroccan nationality is a plus but not mandatory, experience operating within Africa is required
  • Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with senior officials
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate other staff in a dynamic, multicultural environment
  • Self-starter who will thrive in a start-up setting by taking ownership and initiative
  • Intellectual curiosity and sense of humour
  • Willingness and ability to undertake significant regional travel, dependent on project needs 
  • Although this position will be based in Rabat, Morocco, you will be expected to spend time in rural areas and potentially other countries within the region (Africa / North Africa)
  • As project needs arise, flexibility in relocating to other countries for shorter-assignments is expected. Longer-term transfers may also be required, due to the international nature of IDinsight’s client services

In addition to conducting rigorous “decision-focused” impact evaluations for leaders, ID insight launched innovative data and evidence tools to help their partner organisations solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges, and also expanded into new geographies. 


The team are growing fast and IDinsight have expanded their global presence, opening four new offices in Bangalore, Dakar, Johannesburg, and Washington, DC, and placed new embedded teams in Lilongwe and Accra in 2018.
