Role Overview
We have a great mission, and an even better product. We are searching for an experienced, results-oriented Chief Marketing Officer to build a world class organization. An organization that cultivates a compelling public image, cements our positioning in a competitive global industry, and integrates all the sub-functions of marketing to inspire confidence and gain share as we scale.
 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Play both architect and steward of Hugo’s brand story — crafting a simple, relevant and tech-forward storyline; and invite our target audience to participate in it
  • Design and execute on Hugo’s marketing strategy to drive awareness, brand equity, and client acquisition
  • Lead the implementation of an integrated multi-channel strategy, designed to deliver predictable revenue-generating strategies

Collaborate closely with product and sales stakeholders, to develop and deliver successful multi-channel marketing campaigns

  • Run major campaigns to get us meetings with key personas at 200+ target enterprise accounts

Define and execute key elements of Hugo’s awareness, inbound-marketing and brand-positioning strategies

  • Positioning Assets: Lead the design + launch of a new website and other public facing assets, aligning featured content with our storyboards, messaging and positioning
  • PR + Storytelling: Build the Company and Co-Founders’ brands/presence as thought-leaders, outcome-leaders and influencers in our space
  • Content Strategy: Build a cohesive content machine that regularly produces leading, in-depth and substantive pieces across each of our verticals of specialization
  • Social Strategy: Build a cohesive social footprint with content, messaging and storytelling that aligns with our brand positioning
  • Inbound Marketing: Position the above brand and storytelling assets to create an effective inbound funnel
  • Product Marketing: Complete the build-out of the company’s stock of sales and marketing collateral — decks, case studies, blog content, white papers, etc. - in support of the outbound sales team

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a rigorous, high-fidelity, high-output B2B marketing environment (agency experience is a plus)
  • Demonstrable mastery of all aspects of PR, content and product marketing – storytelling, content/collateral creation + distribution, product marketing, communications, partner marketing, public relations
  • Deep experience + understanding of the U.S. tech + commercial (B2B) market - who the audience is, what they want to hear, how they want to hear it and where they want it delivered
  • Exceptional written and presentation skills, with the ability to command/captivate an audience
  • Experience building and leading full-bench marketing team (incl. agencies)
  • Data driven (understand that data moves the needle at scale, and is not afraid to use it)
  • Openness, humility, and an easy air
