The Opportunity
The E4D team is expanding and are looking to enhance our team’s expertise in areas related to the ‘youth’ side of the triangle of forces. We are looking for a senior consultant with broad technical expertise across monitoring, evaluation, economic analysis, and an understanding of financing mechanisms, with experience working on initiatives that seek to improve market functioning; enable innovation and technological progress; and, promote investment. Specifically, we are looking for a Senior Consultant that has expertise in private-sector led skills development initiatives, job creation interventions, and enterprise development programmes. The role would preferably be based in Europe or Africa, but we are open to exploring excellent candidates in other time zones.

The E4D practice currently consists of 20 team members, located in Botswana, Canada, South Africa, Kenya, and the UK. We work across Sub-Saharan Africa and other emerging economies. We break down the allure of one-size-fits-all strategies by demonstrating the value that context-appropriate African-led solutions can unlock. We apply this approach across everything we do - from strategy development, to programme design and implementation, to research and evaluation. Our work cuts across sectors, but our core area of expertise is related to unlocking value in Africa by identifying market-based solutions to enable more inclusive economic growth, including job creation and enterprise development, and financial inclusion.
