As the new Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for profitably scaling traffic via content and distribution channels, thinking, conceptualising, and end-to-end execution of growth plans with the objective of generating higher revenue.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure the business has a deep understanding of the consumer experience
  • Identify and fill product gaps and generate ideas that can grow market share, and/or improve the customer experience in order to drive growth
  • Analyse customer feedback/research (user experience feedback) to identify underlying product issues and devise features/strategies to remediate
  • Own develop and groom the product roadmap & backlog, ensuring released features are prioritised to improve the customer experience, deliver value and drive business growth
  • Collaborate with engineering to develop and release products, and with analysis teams in recommending research required to obtain critical market information
  • Analyse, recommend and lead the implementation of improvement initiatives 
  • Incorporate emerging solutions and technological advancements in new products
  • Act as brand ambassador capitalising on consumer behavior trends
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies based on their impact to customers and translate strategies into tangible actionable results
  • Take an active role alongside marketing team to drive product launches
  • Conduct and present competitive analyses and market research
  • Translate ideas to actionable items that deliver business results
  • Key Stakeholders:
    • Internal – Peers, direct reports, supervisor and Roava Development team
    • Group – Group Chief Executive, Executive Director Retail Banking (Nig), Compliance (UK), Corporate Banking (UK), Risk Management (UK), Treasury (UK, Nig)
    • External – Customers, Channel Partners, Vendors (Marketing, Technology) 
       

Criteria

  • Strong academic record (first and/or post graduate degree from a top tier international University)
  • Previous working experience, leading product teams in the payments, payment technology or digital banking space
  • Good understanding of technology, APIs and building mobile apps
  • Hands-on experience with web analytics and testing tools
  • Domain expertise in UI/UX best practices
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High standards of excellence and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with UK/USA/African markets
